Hi there, my name is Amanie Salah, LPC, NCC (she/her). I am a psychotherapist at Innovative Counseling Partners based in the Chicagoland area. I am so glad you’ve found my page and have decided to take this step on your journey towards healing. As a first-generation college student, I am familiar with the challenges of having to navigate things on your own and reclaiming parts of your identity that have been hidden. I received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and focused my training in Latinx Mental Health so I can better serve and hold space for folx who have been impacted by injustices, marginalization, and inequities by the system that shaped their experiences. I am intentional about creating an honest and authentic space for BIPOC individuals, and other minoritized people, who have experienced oppression, otherness, and trauma unique to people of color.
My approach to psychotherapy is grounded in relational-culture that focuses on the quality of the therapeutic relationship. I am committed to breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma through a shared power dynamic. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, substance use, sexual assault, and gender and racial identity. I meet with clients both in-person and via telehealth. The choice I made to enter this career is one I am very proud of and wouldn’t trade for the world, I look forward to being part of your healing journey.
