I am currently finishing up my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University.
I work with clients of all ages throughout their life spans, and especially love working with children and adolescents and their families. I approach my work through a client centered lens and believe in creating a trusting and nonjudgmental environment where my clients can be understood and valued. I believe in helping all of my clients to achieve their own happiness, instill independence, and overcome obstacles in their path.
I am a therapist, wife and mother to a blended family, and a teacher for over 20 years and believe in working within the family system to help my clients and their families. I utilize an Eclectic approach to counseling; drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Client-Centered Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help clients problem-solve, become self-aware, develop resilience and become the person they want to be. I also believe in assisting my clients in not only achieving mental health, but also achieving physical, spiritual, and social wellness to help them navigate successfully through life.
