Yareli Sanchez, MSW, LSW
I earned both master’s degrees from Aurora University in Social Work and have experience working in community mental health, immigration firms, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and private practice. I have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, supporting clients through a variety of emotional, relational, and life challenges.
I believe that people are deeply shaped by their relationships, experiences, and the environments where they grow up and live. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves, while also feeling supported and understood as we work through difficult experiences together. My approach is relational, focusing on understanding how relationships and patterns of connection influence the way we see ourselves and interact with others. I work alongside clients to help them better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful change.
Areas of Focus
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating:
- Anxiety, depression, and emotional distress
- Relational challenges
- Life transitions
- Trauma and other complex life experiences
- Emotional regulation
- Stress management
- Challenges with identity and self-understanding
- Concerns across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood
My work is informed by CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and play therapy. I tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs, drawing from these approaches to support greater self awareness, emotional processing, coping skills, and meaningful change. Depending on the client and their goals, sessions may incorporate practical strategies, exploration of underlying patterns and experiences, emotion regulation skills, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities.
Clients often describe me as warm, open, genuine, intuitive, and supportive of their process to better understand what they are experiencing. In sessions, you can expect thoughtful conversations, exploring relationship patterns, working through emotions, or finding practical ways to manage the challenges showing up in your life.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and getting creative through bedazzling. I value connection, creativity, and making time for the people and things that bring us joy. I believe that therapy can be both a place to feel supported and a place to gently challenge ourselves to grow.
I provide services in English and Spanish.
