A current student at Concordia University, obtaining a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the social services field and began working towards this goal as soon as I moved to the United States from Poland. I obtained my BA in Sociology and Criminology and began working in the mental health services field. I have over 2 years of experience working in an inpatient setting, mostly with adults. I also am currently a crisis intervention counselor serving at-risk youth in Chicago.
Working in the field has reassured me that my life’s passion is assisting individuals in achieving their goals and living happy and healthy lives. I strive to provide my clients with a safe space to explore their problems and offer a collaborative approach to setting their goals. A culturally competent, non-judgmental, and all-inclusive environment is what I seek to provide for all my clients. I also am fluent in Polish and happy to assist Polish-speaking individuals.
