Luis Garcia is a student in the Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Concordia University. He currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dominican University and has experience in medical care having worked as a medical scribe at Oak Street Health for over 3 years. Luis is bilingual and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He was born and raised in Cicero, Illinois but his parents are from the state of Jalisco in Mexico. His goal is to create a safe and collaborative environment for all clients. He takes inspiration from the three key principles of Rogerian therapy, which are unconditional positive regard, congruence, and empathy. He uses these to create a warm counseling atmosphere conducive to providing the best care possible for clients.
