I am aspiring to do therapeutic work in all communities throughout Chicago. My goal is to help those of all races, genders and ages find empowerment and fulfilment in their lives.
I am currently a second year graduate student at DePaul University specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a firm believer in practicing mindfulness and self care. Right now, I work from a Person-Centered and Solution-Focused approach. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practices. I’ve had the pleasure of working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities and I hope to continue this rewarding work in the future. My previous work has really taught me the importance of empathy when working with this population and my therapeutic theories have reinforced unconditional positive regard for others.
