Drew is entering his final year in DePaul University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program and is working towards licensure to become a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Special Education at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015 and has six years of experience as a special educator, with a focus on working with students from low-income neighborhoods who need emotional and behavioral support.
As a former counseling client himself, Drew understands what it feels like to navigate through the counseling process and holds that it can be one of life’s most transformational experiences. He has a particular interest in men’s mental health and aims to help men develop new narratives in which it is encouraged to discuss thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Drew brings a nonjudgmental and optimistic approach to counseling and believes there is always hope in any given situation.
