My approach to therapy is integrative, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. I value empathy, compassion, diversity, creativity, and meeting each person where they are. Depending on the client’s needs, I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, strengths-based therapy, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
I especially enjoy incorporating creativity, humor, and age-appropriate activities into therapy, particularly when working with children and teens. I believe therapy does not have to look the same for everyone, and I work collaboratively with each client to develop a treatment approach that feels meaningful, practical, and personalized to them.
I am also passionate about promoting and supporting mental health within the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and creating space to explore the ways that cultural, racial, gender, and societal experiences can impact mental health and well-being.
Above all, my goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they navigate their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
