Rob Davies

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and have experience working in community mental health with marginalized populations. My professional background includes working with individuals with severe depression, anxiety, past and current trauma, addictions, domestic violence, and numerous other stressors.

I believe healing happens through the exploration of new insights surrounding personal beliefs, challenges, motivations, and emotional experiences. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, compassion, and empowered. My approach is insight-oriented and strengths-based, and I work alongside clients to help them identify obstacles, steps, and successes to pursue their goals.

Areas of Focus/Specialties

I work with individuals navigating:

  • ADHD, Autism spectrum conditions, and other forms of neurodiversity
  • Depression, anxiety, trauma, and complex life challenges
  • Couples and interpersonal relationship difficulties
  • Adolescents, adults, families, couples, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

My work is informed by CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. I tailor sessions to each client’s needs incorporating coping skills, interpersonal/social skills, mindfulness, and insight.

Clients often describe me as insightful and thoughtful, as well as affirming and compassionate. In sessions, you can expect gentle challenges, skill building, and empowering conversation.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy music, reading, documentaries, cooking, and spending time with family. I believe in the following quote: Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people…Show respect to all people and grovel to none -Tecumseh.
