Natalia Balagulska, NCC, LCPC
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor
M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Concordia University
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor with nearly a decade of experience, I am dedicated to guiding individuals through their mental health journeys. Throughout my career, I have served diverse clients in various clinical environments, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, crisis counseling organizations, and private practice. I bring experience working with individuals across all age groups, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and other difficulties.
I bring a warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth perspective to therapy, creating an inviting and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to show up as your true self. I believe true healing and personal growth unfold when care is personalized rather than restricted to a rigid, one-size-fits-all model. To support your unique needs and goals, I draw thoughtfully from evidence-based modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness practices.
My practice is deeply informed by my lived experience as an immigrant, which instills a strong commitment to cultural humility and respect for each client’s distinct background. I view well-being through a holistic lens that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to equip you with effective, creative tools to heal, grow, and create a balanced, meaningful life.
Areas of Focus / Specialties
I support individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including:
● Anxiety and chronic stress
● Depression and mood concerns
● Navigating major life transitions
● Developing coping strategies and emotional regulation skills
● Addressing relationship difficulties
● Fostering self-esteem and identity development
● Managing chronic illnesses
I view therapy as a unique, personalized journey rather than a standardized, one-size-fits-all approach. My aim is to thoughtfully foster a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts, define your goals, and build practical tools tailored to your individual preferences. Based on what works best for you, our sessions may blend humor, gentle encouragement and challenge, or active practice of new coping strategies. Working collaboratively, we will empower you to step into your most authentic, healthy, and fulfilling life. I firmly believe that everyone possesses the innate capacity for growth and meaningful change -sometimes, all it takes is dedicated guidance along your path.
Outside of the therapy office, I value spending quality time with my loved ones, including my cat, Orpheus. I also enjoy gardening, being outdoors in nature, and watching nature and animal documentaries.
