Yulissa Cardenas is a third-year graduate student, currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Yulissa completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and has over 5 years of experience working with non-profit organizations which focus on suicide prevention and advocating for sexual and domestic abuse survivors.
She is proficient in both English and Spanish and welcomes bilingual, BIPOC, and individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Yulissa takes a holistic and trauma-informed approach to assist clients with their mental health. She uses various therapy approaches including Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Yulissa is dedicated to providing a welcoming, non-judgmental, respectful, and safe space for clients. She hopes to inspire self-empowerment and growth to create meaningful changes through collaboration and achievable goals that meet your specific needs in order to help you live a more fulfilling life.
