Mara is a Clinical Mental Health intern completing her master’s degree at Bradley University. She received her BA in Social Justice from Roosevelt University, with a specialty in Child and Family Services. Mara’s goal is to advocate for her clients and provide a safe and healing environment to address a range of clinical issues. Mara has a passion for mindfulness and holistic healing and uses an integrative approach to counseling to meet the unique needs of each client. Her specialty areas of treatment include trauma, grief, anxiety, body image, dating and relationships, social justice, spirituality, life transitions, and support to the LGBTQ+ community. Mara was born and raised in Chicago and is well-versed in addressing mental health concerns of individuals (teens and adults) and couples from many cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
In addition to offering therapeutic services, she also provides self-help and meaningful tools through her blog, mindfulnesswithmara.com. Mara created this digital space with the intent of exploring topics related to mental health as it pertains to modern culture and the millennial lifestyle. She is dedicated to meeting people where they are on their healing journey and providing clinical and nonjudgmental support to help her clients meet their goals.
