Sandra (Maggie) Bechtol is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and is currently working toward certification as a sex therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).
Sandra believes that therapy is a collaborative process that provides a supportive space for individuals to inspire meaningful change in their lives. Her goal is to create a warm, open-minded, and inclusive environment where clients from all walks of life feel heard, respected, and valued. In partnership with clients, she works to identify and achieve personalized goals that honor each individual’s unique needs and experiences. Sandra is dedicated to meeting you where you are in your journey, offering compassionate guidance and support along the way.
Sandra’s counseling approach is eclectic and holistic, emphasizing growth, healing, and empowerment. She integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. Sandra is also passionate about incorporating meditation and mindfulness practices into her sessions, offering clients practical tools for grounding and self-awareness.
