Renee Milton is a third-year graduate student currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bradley University. Renee’s counseling approach is centered on person-centered theory, employing empathy and positive regard for the individual and confidence in their power to discover solutions and achieve personal growth. Renee strives to give individuals a nonjudgmental, safe space to navigate life’s challenges through a holistic approach, including those issues faced by BIPOC communities. She holds certifications in mindfulness, deep relaxation techniques, and relationship coaching.
Renee’s background includes over 20 years of providing emotional, spiritual, and relational support to individuals, couples, and families in community-based settings. These experiences laid the foundation for her current professional counseling goals where she has well-honed skills in active listening, empathy, and solution-focused conversations. Her goal is to support clients in discovering their strengths and creating meaningful change in their lives.
