Olga earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. Having worked with a number of counseling clients who were going through challenging life transitions accompanied by feelings of uncertainty, depression, and anxiety, Olga’s counseling technique is rooted in a person-centered approach, which emphasizes treating each individual with dignity, respect, and understanding. While creating a safe therapeutic environment for her clients, Olga uses mindfulness techniques to help clients develop self-awareness, which is essential for the effective use of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), where her clients are learning to replace negative beliefs and unhelpful thought patterns with positive experiences and habits. Alongside CBT, Olga also engages her clients in reality therapy, where the clients are exposed to building effective responsibility plans with the use of choice theory, allowing them to create more fulfilling and healthy life experiences for themselves and heal from exposure to traumatic or negative life events.
