We come into this world whole and seemingly perfect; however, our environments, humanity and our perception of this human world impact us in ways that are both emboldening but also destructive to our spirit. Not fully being awake we get through this thing called life attempting to be successful and fulfilled. It is this lack of being awake to our sense of spirit and engagement with people and environment that shape our behaviors. Once we create these behavioral paths that allow us to muddle through life it is hard to change them without feeling unsuccessful and defeated.
However, it is in looking inward and to the assistance of an awakened individual that the journey to fulfillment often begins for most. It is my belief that our clinicians are these awakened individuals on their own journeys of self-discovery that connect us creating improved humanity.
At the end of it all, we all bring pieces of ourselves on this journey and we must put those pieces in place to see the beautiful mosaic of “golden repair” where all the exquisitely restored vessels come together to create an extraordinary vessel. It is by incorporating the suffering into stronger material, material of goodness, so that the broken parts of our society and world can glow in the “golden repair” glory transforming shame and self-loathing into functionality and an awakened person fulfilling their destiny.
At ICP we strive to create vessels of wellness.
