As a wife, mother and therapist, I believe in helping others in their own journey to achieve happiness and fulfillment, and that truly no obstacle is too great to overcome. It is important to me to partner with my clients to assist them in taking an active role in their healing process.
I work with individuals, families and couples of all genders, races, and ages to help empower themselves to process life’s daily challenges, ADHD, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship work, trauma, women’s issues and LGBTQ issues. I specialize in helping mothers and fathers navigating prenatal/postpartum depression.
I am culturally sensitive and believe in professional yet authentic human contact, meeting the client where they are. I incorporate an Eclectic approach often with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered and Strength-Based approaches to promote problem-solving, mindfulness, self-awareness and resilience. I believe in helping others to achieve mental health wellness through physical, spiritual and social wellness.
My Background
I received my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University and Bachelor Degree in Psychology from DePaul University. I draw from my experience working with diverse client populations in a variety of settings, including therapeutic day schools to provide crisis intervention and prevention to elementary-age children with behavioral issues.
