Dr. Lisa D’Eramo is a Chiropractor and Naturopathic physician who has spent her career specializing in natural health care and wellness. While always wanting to become a doctor, she saw the limitations of western medicine in finding and treating patients as a whole. Her search for something more brought her to Chiropractic and the field of nutrition.
Education
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Cincinnati. She went on to attend the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago where she earned her second Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1995. Dr. Lisa has also attained certification as a Naturopathic Physician and has completed Advanced Clinical Training in Nutrition Response Testing. She is certified in Webster Technique and has taken many courses in pediatrics and pre/post natal care. Additionally, Dr. Lisa has completed clinical coursework and is eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Nutritionist examination. Currently she is working on her certification in Functional Medicine.
Along with Chiropractic and Nutrition, she also utilizes blood chemistry, saliva testing, auriculotherapy and other modalities to attain a whole/total body approach to healing.
Dr. Lisa’s Health Story
While at chiropractic school, Dr. Lisa received a mandatory vaccination for the mumps. Shortly after she started to have a problem with her blood platelets (the cells which help in clotting the blood.) As her situation worsened, she went to many medical doctors and had multiple tests along with a bone marrow biopsy to determine the cause of her problem. However, her condition was always brushed off as being from the use of aspirin a lab variable since none of the traditional medical thinking could figure out what the problem was. As a last resort, she consulted a doctor who utilized muscle testing and nutrition in his practice. He found the vaccination and chemicals in the immunization were affecting her. After utilizing nutrition for 3 weeks her platelet levels increased 25% and have continually improved over time. Dr. Lisa has had other conditions that have responded wonderfully to natural health methods.
Dr. Lisa maintains an active practice in Hinsdale on Monday through Thursday. She is practicing at The Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor on Fridays.
