Felicia Smith is an LSW with 9 years of experience in the field of behavioral health. She acquired her master’s from Loyola University Chicago in 2016 and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in SW from Walden University. Felicia has worked in mental health community programs, schools, hospitals, and hospice. She has experience of working with adolescents, young and older adults within inpatient and outpatient PHP programs. Felicia specializes in mood disorders, anxiety, dual diagnosis, trauma, anger management, and grief & amp; loss. She utilizes the CBT & DBT models and incorporates a strength-based approach to increase coping. Felicia works with individuals on acknowledging their strengths and limiting the focus on weaknesses during life challenges. She has experience with individual, family, and group counseling. Felicia believes that her experience of working with a diverse population has enhanced her ability to continue to provide compassion and healing for those who are negatively impacted by life stressors.
