Benjamin Brito is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where he earned his MSEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He earned his BA degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Ben is an empathetic and caring clinician who strives to help people experiencing overwhelming adversity in their lives. He is a firm believer in the power of beliefs and how they affect people. He focuses on addressing the connection between the mind and the body helping his clients understand the effects one has on the other. He also aims to build a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients and works hard to create a safe environment for them to feel comfortable to do therapy.
Ben uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Strength-Based Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Theraplay. He works with a variety of clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship problems, family problems, trauma, and other kinds of life challenges. Ben also has a background in sports and has a goal of obtaining his CMPC to work as a sport psychologist.
