Lucy Arenberg, BA

Lucy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from DePaul University. She’s also a mind-body coach and Reiki practitioner and received her certificate training from Life Purpose Institute in San Diego, CA. She currently is an intern therapist, and will be graduating from Benedictine University with her Master in Science in Clinical Psychology next summer of 2019 as and LPC.  She intends to continue her education focusing on Somatic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy- DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy – ACT, Art Therapy and Positive Psychology.

Lucy works with individuals, couples, adolescents, groups and families of all ages, race and genders. She welcomes those challenged with depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, addiction, and trauma. Counseling collaboratively with clients, she draws upon on positive client strengths and resiliency to help individuals achieve optimum mental health. Her comprehensive therapeutic approach incorporates the powerful connection between mind-body-spirit and understands how all three interact to affect mental health functioning.

Lucy is a wife and mother of two teenagers and an active member in her community.  She enjoys meditation and spiritual psychology and is proficient in energy healing modalities including: quantum touch, sound frequency healing, and therapeutic touch.  She is also affiliated with: Illinois Counseling Association – ICA & International Positive Psychology Association – IPPA
