Jennifer Froemel, LCPC, CMHIMP

Jennifer Froemel has been in private practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) since 1999. Jennifer received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in 1996. Jennifer is the founder/owner of Innovative Counseling Partners, LLC since 2014. She operates in consultative ways with medical, alternative, and spiritual practitioners to ensure a holistic approach to improved client wellness.

Jennifer has worked as a bilingual mental health clinician in community mental health in different supervisory capacities in both medical and mental health settings since 1991. She has also worked in residential and inpatient facilities since 1990. She has taught at DeVry University and has been a field placement supervisor for Masters’ level students for the last 15 years.

She is currently the Past-President of the Illinois Mental Health Counselors’ Association. She is also a member of the Advisory Board at Adler University. She has served as the Facilitator to the Cicero Youth Task Force. She previously served as the Midwest Region Board of the National Children’s Study and to Parent Teacher Associations. She is most importantly a mom of three (inclusive of a set of twins).

Jennifer believes strongly in Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Mindfulness, Theraplay, EMDR, and Family Systems Approach to working with adults, couples, youth and families. Jennifer is very passionate about ensuring quality mental health care is available to the masses. She has worked with very diverse populations including, the African- American, theLatino population, and LGBTQIA populations throughout the years. She is well-versed in integrated care models, as well as, trauma-centered and evidence-based interventions in individual, marital, family, and group work. She has a long history of working with eating disorders, sexual addiction, bipolar disorder, trauma, anxiety, depression, and parenting issues.

Jennifer has been consulted as a psychological expert on TV for Hoy and WTTW Channel 11 and The Crisitina Show on Radio 105.1FM. She gives presentations regularly on how to address the Latino community in treatment. She has also worked with the the Chicago Archdiocese on cases of pastoral sexual abuse since 2011.
